Although delivery was a bit late but so far I am really happy with the product. Cools down the average sized room in less than 10 mins. There are two speed options but to be honest setting 1 is very strong and don’t even requires to go to 2 speed settings. Noise levels are totally acceptable. It’s equal to a tall standing fan on max settings. Remote is a plus. I have casement window which open outwards, I insulated the window with clin film to keep hot air out and installed the window kit came with it. Please see photos. It works amazingly. Would also recommend to put a duck tape on the exhaust connector to avoid any hot air leaking inside room (see picture). I would have given 5 stars if it had an Eco function to turn on and off automatically to keep the temperature constant. At the moment I run it around 6-8 hours per night. We bought a fan on to cool our room as well two dysons and those three products didn't manage to cool down our living room, we ended up buying HOMCOM AC but we were not fully sure if it will manage to do it's job just because of it's good price comparing to other similar products.. When it arrived we were absolutely shocked, we spent UK heatwave UNDER A BLANKET... It cooled our room down in very quick period of time. It does have a panel to fit into a windows which are sliding, we have a widow that opens out and we found a material cover for a window online and it worked amazing. All similar products had an 'issue' listed in it's reviews which said it keps leaking so we did put a blanked underneath out air conditioner as there were not much reviews so we didn't know what to expect but there was no leak whatsoever. When the temperature outside was 40*C our room had 24*C as that was our chosen temperature. When we chose 22*C that was the temperature it cooled the room to. Tested out the unit today. As it comes with the window kit for sliding windows, that part is surplus. Not sure many have these windows in UK. I cut some cardboard to fit window and covered with reflective plastic and then cut hole to accommodate the hose. I used velcro to attach to window frame. Works well. Reduced my lounge room temperature from 28c to 24c in approx hour. My elderly greyhound has been struggling and sleeping soundly now.The only downside is the hose is short and very rigid but made it work. Already ordered another for bedroom.. Michelle.
