The flat packed arbour was fairly easy to construct, although assistance from another person (or a third hand!) would have been useful. It was fiddly to get the arch to form a neat circle and awkward to get the gates ‘balanced’ as they kept swinging open. This was possibly because the ground was not perfectly level. I solved both problems by selecting a raised patch of ground, on which the gates could rest. Quality scroll pattern garden rose arch arbor. Side panels are made in one complete section, not like the cheaper build-up type. Very simple installation; the top bows just fit onto the top of the side frames, and they push into the ground. Made from metal, 16mm tube, and solid 20x6mm bracing and 10x6mm scrolls.
