The product description is inaccurate - the frame of the rack is made of wood (painted if you get the white version like I did), the sides of the rack are made of plastic. The horizontal rods appear to be metal so are probably the only part actually made of aluminium. While it is overall fit for purpose it is very expensive for what you get and therefore not value for money. However I have been unable to find a similar product with this capacity so I have kept it. If you order, do check the product properly when it arrives as my first one came damaged (delivery fault) and the second had defects (inherent to the product). This Automatic Washing Line Wall-Mounted Drying Rack is little in size but big on drying, making this ideal for small flats, caravans and tight spaces. The washing line is easy to install and comes with all necessary screws, wall plugs and hooks. Once set up, the washing line is very simple to operate, release the grey side knob and pull the grey bar till your desired length, place bar in hooks and tighten strings with the knob. When finished using the washing line, simply remove the bar from the hooks, release knob again and line automatically retracts back into its dust and damp proof housing to ensure the lines keep clean and dry. There are four strong string lines that each extends 3.65m giving you a total drying length of 14.65m!.
