Crystal wine carafe designed to oxygenate the wine to enhance the aromas and flavours of the red wine. In the bottle, the wine doesn't have a chance to breathe so a carafe addresses this in two ways, first, the actual process of pouring the wine into the carafe oxygenates it, and secondly, by being stored in a carafe it is allowed to breathe, but not too much, as too much oxygen can be detrimental to the flavour, which is why the neck of the carafe is narrower.
