Quick delivery. We are using this indoors as a blanket box, as we cannot find a large enough blanket box online. However the smell of the wood stain is taking some shifting. Will have to put it outside on a fine day to air off. The sides are plywood and in my opinion would not last a winter outside. The big problem is that the hinges are the wrong type and simply will not operate correctly on this item even with amendments. You can see from the photo the issue. If you lower the hinge from its designated position it won’t close the lid at all as it catches at the back. I have fitted kitchens and bathrooms for a living for over twenty years and can work my way around these types of problems, and now have the lid opening and closing well, but it does not sit properly on the box when closed, but fortunately due to the lip that goes around the top it isn’t noticeable. I was quite disappointed with this purchase. The storage space is not weatherproof, as expected, being made up of slatted wood with approximately 1cm gaps. Absolutely brilliant boxed and laid out well, nuts and bolts in cardboard packaging(in this case clearly written in blue) on right hand side. 2 sets of paper instructions(rarity these days)were clearly written and easy to understand each step. Arrows and predrilled holes lined up, grooves where the clasp go and pre-cut slits for the bar. You cant go wrong assembling this . The box itself has room for my 300x300covers when not in use plus other items and will have enough room for the cushions over winter. It was heavy to bring up to the house and I did help the courier with this. As a 50woman I managed to put it together myself using a table as prop for when I needed to do the lid. I did put a blanket on ground as well(put together on patio) to stop scratches, marks etc whilst putting together. The unit blends in and is really sturdy. Extremely pleased.. MST.
