This review is to give a 5 stars to Wayfair! The bed is excellent value for the price much better than one I paid a lot more for through a certain online discount group. You get exactly what it says - but you get a lot more because of Wayfair's excellent customer service. We had trouble with one of the gas lift pistons - unbeknown to us it was faulty but caused one of the side struts to completely bend. I contacted Wayfair, they took details the customer service rep gave me his direct email and a phone contact. I emailed him pictures of what had happened and they replied confirming the new parts were ordered and would be delivered. I was skeptical but shouldn't have been. Wayfair replaced the whole side of the bed, including a new white faux leather panel which we didn't expect but had been damaged by the piston failure. It has been replaced and works perfectly. I ordered this bedframe at 1145am on the 28.04.21 and it was delivered at 13:00pm on the 29.04.21 and fully assembled by 16:35pm by myself a lone middle aged female. The courier (panther warehousing) were amazing. From the time they took receipt of my item, right up until 15 minutes from delivery, they kept me informed as too where they were. Their time slot allocation was bang on!! I happen to love this bed. It was reasonably easy to assemble by myself (only a few swear words and temper tantrums thrown ) Once assembled the bed frame is really sturdy and solid. In hindsight I'd probably have been better advised to have a second person with with me, but it honestly wasn't that difficult for me on my own. The instructions are easy to follow. I would add though that whilst assembling, I did take note of a couple of discrepancies with manufacturing! None of which has distracted from the final finished article, and I am genuinely pleased with my purchase. 1) the dowels provided weren't big enough for the job provided. Luckily I had some spare from a previous DIY construction. Plus the use of PVA glue is a must!! Which I also had. 2) the spanner provided is tiny, making use difficult. The screws which are use to secure the side supports are quite difficult to access. From my own experience, put the bottom screw in 1st, and only slightly tighten before putting the top screws in place...alternating tightening. The colour is advertised as lacquered ivory, but it looks more light olive in daylight. This is genuinely a lovely product. I would highly recommend too anyone, and reasonably priced too . Rosemary. Nice looking albeit low bed, assembly was simple enough until we got to pressurised arms that lift bed up and down - were ridiculously hard to push down, spent 2 days hammering it and googling ways, thought it was faulty and about to return when one very hard push made the arms go down. Now it's fine, but closing the bed is bit of a nightmare for one small person, my sister literally has to use full bodyweight to close it. Love my new bed and it is a bargain! Came in a very narrow box which was rather alarming as couldn’t believe it could possibly contain a double bed. It was really easy to put together, but you do need a power screwdriver to affix the slats to the frame as there are no pre-drilled holes. Very good and strong bed. But the instructions was a headache seriously for the price you ask for you can make a better copy of instructions and may be few pages spread. Took us 4 hours to bulid. We did read the reviews about it before purchasing and we decided not to let it be an issue for us. But blimey it was a headache to bulid lol . Cant fault the bed though very strong good for storage.
