Soiled and damaged upon delivery. I was disappointed to receive this item in damaged condition. It looks like the tear could even have occurred in the warehouse prior to transit because the outside packaging was taped up. I was informed that they wouldn't be able to deliver another one for a month. However, they did offer a reasonable refund, so I attempted self-repair and after suitably cleaning and patching it up I'm able to use it. The item itself is comfortable. Quite firm when new, however my old mattress was quite soft in comparison. So far I've experienced a reduction in back pain and I believe my posture is starting to improve too. In a nutshell, I'm currently happy with the comfort of the item, and the customer service was very good. However I'm not happy with the condition that the item was delivered in, the delivery time could have been better. Perfect mattress for me. I suffer from an extremely bad back and mattresses are a bit of a nightmare for me. Trying them instore for just a few minutes, then taking a gamble paying anywher up to £800 odd only to find out they dont work for me in the long run, is not fun! Took a gamble on this pure memory foam and am so happy with it. The price for the mattress is superb. Its thin, which put me off also, but firm, yet it allows me to sink into it where needed without sinking too much (like a previous pocket sprung memory foam mattress). It comes kind of vaccum packed so you need to allow a day or two fot it to inflate. You also need to allow an extra 4 days (approx) for a chemical smell to wear off. Not sure what it is, other reviews have said the same. I personally took it as reassurance that its a very clean mattress due to the smell. Its a very very strong smell and I needed to leave windows open whenever possible. Once gone however, the matress is absolutely great, I would not take any review stars off for the smell personally, as I believe its part of the new alergy free cleanliness / dust free packing perhaps? Mattress comes rolled, easy to get it in a 1st floor all by yourself. Size was as indicated and after 48h the mattress has unfolded and ready to sleep in. Very comfortable. Foam layer is soft without sinking in, good support on body parts. One star less due to the smell, which on day 5 is getting less but still irritating when sleeping. Hope it goes entirely away. Furthermore, there are no corner support (i don't mind but maybe other people do so I mention it here). However, the mattress is recommendable, good quality for the money.. Noel.
