I bought this only for the Emma Bridgewater chicken design, because I have had problems with Russell Hobbs kettles in the past few years. The handles on the lids keep breaking! I couldn't resist this, so I hope it will be OK. Lovely kettle, nice and quiet. One problem, despite boiling twice, and rinsing before use, as instructed, the tea tastes metallic. It is nice to look at and functions perfectly. I tested different settings to get the perfect one for me and get excellent results each time. So far I haven’t had any problems with normal slices of bread not fitting.
