With so many options on the market and after some extensive research, we purchased this high sleeper bed for our 12 year old daughter. It is excellent quality and we like the whitewash wood. Very strong and sturdy. The futon cushions are thick and comfy, the shelving provides loads of storage for her books and the desk is quite big. We swapped the futon and desk around from the picture to suit the room, so that flexibility is great. This will suit her for many years to come I reckon. Highly recommended.. For the money I think this double loft bed is really great value for money. I (lady DIY novice) managed to put it together entirely by myself. I was loaned an electric screwdriver with an Alan key attachment which made life so much quicker and easier and would recommend you do the same if you can. I painted the bed with 2 coats of Wilko Garden Colour paint in Slate Grey £12 a tin (meant for sheds/fences) and think it looks great and will be hard wearing.. Janey Day.
