Mixed feelings about this. Pros It’s a good height and I like the changeable shelf sizes as I needed it for folders, books, music books etc but want the option to change this later on. The colour is good as well. It didn’t take too long to build and once items are on the shelves they are sturdy. Cons Not the best quality. Some cracks in the wood and wee holes. The shelves move a bit when there isn’t much on them. The instructions for building aren’t always the clearest and the tiny nails for the back part are not the greatest at all. The book case is ok, the quality isn’t great. The picture show the back boards as they arrived. They were meant to have a waxed finish but as you can see from the photo one was shipped unfinished. The shelves look great but the construction is a little flimsy. If you want to fill the shelves with books (which was my intention) you will need to reinforce the shelves with additional timber to take the weight. Also the dowels supplied are far too small for the predrilled holes, they just fall out. I bought new dowels and had to drill all the holes again. Having said all that, once assembled they look great and for the money, not that bad at all. Just be prepared to put a little more work in to make them sturdy.. Richard. GB. 2021-02-25 08:42:19
