Ok so this wardrobe was harder to put together than a Brexit deal. It definitely took 3 people (it weighs 80kg and you will need to lift/move it around during construction). It definitely requires a drill...you would still be screwing things into the solid wood 2 weeks later if you did it by hand. Just...go easy on the drilling/screwing. There aren't enough guide holes for screws. The instructions are not right, weirdly complex and you'll need to use your intuition upon construction or you'll potentially snap the cross pieces. Please review and improve the instructions! Having said all that - it looks magnificent once you've actually managed to build it. This is a beautiful item and I am delighted. I ordered the Oak veneer and it is one of the nicest I have seen. It is solid and well made. My only disappointment was with the courier company who clearly had dropped one of the five packages, which contained three of the four side pieces, due to the excessive weight. Whilst all three pieces each had a damaged corner, the front facia hid the damage and so did not spoil the end result. I would recommend the supplier split the contents further i.e. only two sides in one package, to make them more manageable in transit. Was missing a screw, few bolt covers missing. The wardrobe itself took 9hrs to build (inc. Breaks). You will definately need 2 people to build the wardrobe. Once its built, you will notice the top half slants forward. Well-made wardrobe. Smart finish but surprisingly thin laminate; long term durability? Good quality fittings. Multiple errors in the assembly instructions but correct assembly can be worked out quite easily. Delivered in four packages, three of which are extremely heavy. Lighter packages would help transportability and avoid damage during handling. Corners should be better protected; my wardrobe had slight damage to a couple of corners. Well after i ordered this i then read the reviews and then worried myself sick! The 3 packages were deliverd and weighed so much!! had to get them upstairs ourselve due to Lockdown. Nearly killed me off. Anyway after opening all the boxes my fella and i were having palpitations, so many parts and although the instructions number every part there are no corresponding numbers on the parts. However once we got our heads around what part was what we cracked on with it. Took us 6 hours over 2 days and a lot of stress. Some advice: ensure you have plenty of room , you will need to build the frame lay flat on the floor then lift carefully to put on the back panels. Put on the door runners first! We ended up putting the top of the wardrobe on upside down by mistake, and didnt realise till we came to put on the runners right at the final stages. Excuse the wallpaper (previous owner) I’m still in the middle of decorating. The first one that arrived was damaged so I had to return it and got a replacement which arrived quick during the pandemic. I managed to build most of it myself over the space of 2 days but you’ll need a second pair of hands to put it together. SMALL CONS • The wardrobe is very heavy when packaged and needs 2 people to carry it. • I’m not sure if I’d recommend it if you live up multiple flights of stairs as it would be a challenge to get it up due to it’s weight and size. • The instructions aren’t clear and have no writing to guide you through them, only diagrams with numbers for parts. • The parts aren’t labelled either and they’re all mixed together, so it can take a while to figure out which part to work on next and where it goes. • You’ll need a lot of room to build it. I had to dismantle my bed and put it on it’s side with my mattress. • I was unable to get the back board on as it kept popping out and didn’t seem to fit right so I did without it. • It can wobble slightly if the doors are shut hard (mine isn’t not screwed to the wall for support) but so long as your gentle with the doors you’ll be fine. PROS • Looks good in the bedroom (eye catching). • Plenty of storage for your clothes and other bits. • The mirrors are a nice big size. I know there’s more SMALL CONS than PROS but I think there only small issues that can easily be over looked (common with flat packed furniture).
