Mattress is great, I was a bit doubtful as previous reviews seem to be a paid promotion. It’s lovely and thick, it is quite solid though I’d say more towards the end of the scale of firm medium. Very very heavy, and the smell it talks about on the paperwork really does linger. I absolutely recommend this to anyone, I’d say it’s right up there with the Emmasimba mattresses. Anonymous. After seeing these on a shopping channel was sceptical, but urgently needed a new mattress. It was quite heavy to handle and came rolled up. The first thing I did after unrolling the mattress was put a glass of water in the middle of it, like they demonstrate on the tv, sat down on the bed and the glass of water didn't flinch. Very odd feeling sitting on it for the first time, it doesn't move and seems quite hard. I suffer with sciatica and a dodgy shoulder and can honestly say that this mattress appears to have helped; no aches when I wake up. There's no roll-together either (if that's what you're after). so it's great if one person is twice as heavy as the other! One thing I hate with traditional mattresses are the little buttons that fix the quilting, I don't know about you but I can always feel them, most uncomfortable. I wasn't too sure of what mattress to go for and I concluded on this. Fixed it and didn't lay on it for almost 48 hours because I wanted it to assume proper shape. The mattress arrived rolled up in good time as expected. I unrolled it and left it to expand for 8-10 hours after which it was still very hard and measured in at 13cm instead of the 15-20cm as advertised. I left it for a further day to see it it would improve and the mattress remained at 13cm. 3 fairly uncomfortable sleeps later I've resorted to buying a 5cm silent night memory foam mattress topper which has vastly improved how comfy it is. The 2 layers of 2.5cm foam on top of the high density foam is just not adequate in my opinion and although I'm covered by the 100 night sleep guarantee, I need to get some sleep while I try and get used to it. Hopefully it improves over time as I'm wearing it in, but the thickness concerns me and I won't hold my breath. Happy with purchase for guest bedroom, seems well made and comfortable so far. Guests said they were very comfortable had a good sleep, purchased two of the 2ft6 small singles got an adapter to make into king size. As described firm mattress, no motion transfer would recommend.
