Practically perfect!
Well I couldn’t be more pleased with this purchase and what a bargain it is too. After looking at the Neptune Buckland bench and fearing I was about to need to remortgage the house, Wayfair came up with the goods!
Instructions are fine. It’s not overly helpful that the wooden pieces aren’t labelled, if you lay them all out and mark the numbers on with pencil you’ll be well on your way. The fittings are all bagged separately and labelled so it’s easy peasy to know what you need.
I managed to build this myself in an afternoon, no husband needed.
It fits flush against the skirting board but the space behind allows for my plugs so that’s an excellent win.
I’ve followed the top tip of another reviewer and not screwed the corner square in, instead made a few batons for the back to simply place on top, extra storage space, bonus!
Painting was simple, I waxed some bits and painted the rest, prime first if you can! But it looked fine as it, down to personal choice.
Some bits aren’t perfect, like the top trim not sitting exactly flat and the skirting trim isn’t tight in some places, but it’s easily rectifiable. I’ll be getting some seat pads made up but it’s still comfortable without.
