Very nice bed overall, is sturdy and works. However, one of the side boards was missing the two threaded brass inserts for attaching to the foot board (with M8 bolts and small brackets), plus three positioning labels were also missing from each side board. Not particularly wanting to return the packages, I took a risk by attempting to fix this myself (presumably you would have refused to take it back once I'd tampered), by carefully screwing M10 bolts spaced with a nut into the wooden holes (which were present beneath the black fabric, which I had to rip with a blade), hoping they would create threads and bite. Fortunately this worked and the problem was overcome. Photos attached show the differences in the boards (one board has the threaded inserts allowing the brass M8 allen bolts to be used, the other lacks the holes, so the bracket is fixed in place to the side board with steel M10 bolt and nut instead), plus also the finished bed, which otherwise had no problems. We think it’s great. It’s stable, sturdy, and looks good. And there’s a good amount of spaceheight underneath for storage. I was able to do the majority of the assembly on my own, but there were 1 or 2 steps that having a second person makes it significantly easier to do. Two negatives with it are With just a mattress on (double bed) it’s fairly easy to lift up, I (male) was able to raise and lift it with one arm right after setup, but once you add sheets, duvet, covers and pillows, it does make a significant difference and so now takes me two arms to lift and a fair bit of effort. My partner (female) isn’t able to lift it on her own. Other negative was, the parts don’t have labels which made assembly harder than it needed to be, with you having to guess which rod was being depicted in each stage of the instructions. Lovely looking bed. The headboard is a bit shorter than expected, however, looks lovely in our room. The bed also came with a QR code to scan with a video of the build, great touch! Really happy with the bed. Took me and my OH about 2 hours to put together (minimal help from me). It’s not as sturdy as my previous bed that I got from Bensons in the same price range but I’m very happy with it. Under the bed doesn’t have any boards to put things on, it’s just a Velcro material thing which is basically pointless. The sides are a little more flimsy than the last bed I had but still stable enough. Overall I’m really happy with my new bed. The bed is lovely and looks much more expensive than it actually was. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and how sturdy it is. There's loads of storage underneath, but be aware that although there is a fabric base, anything stored under the mattress will be sitting on the floor.
