I bought this as a replacement for my Heritage kettle that kept peeling along the top where the lid is. It looks really nice on my hob, and I love the whistle which reminds me of my childhood. The only disadvantage is that it doesn’t shut itself off like a regular kettle, so you can’t leave it and jump in the shower for instance. That said I knew that when I bought it and have no regrets..
