Am 64 so it took me a few days to suss it out but my goodness it’s brilliant. The pre heat is so quick and cooking time much less than my oven so there saving on my electric!! I bought this as a replacement for my Heritage kettle that kept peeling along the top where the lid is. It looks really nice on my hob, and I love the whistle which reminds me of my childhood. The only disadvantage is that it doesn’t shut itself off like a regular kettle, so you can’t leave it and jump in the shower for instance. That said I knew that when I bought it and have no regrets..
