The price scared me a bit with it being so cheap, was expecting it to be average quality and rickety but how wrong I was, was easy enough to assemble once we’d worked out which bits went where, definitely recommend 2 people to set up. This is an amazing bed. I'm so pleased with the purchase. It's really sturdy and doesn't squeak or creak at all! I was a little concerned with the height as I've not had a low profile bed before, but it is absolutely fine and weirdly, actually easier to get out of. I normally prefer a footboard with my bed, but since nowhere seemed to have any stock and I desperately needed a bed, I opted for this one and I am pleasantly surprised. I was worried that the duvet would hang off the end and look untidy, but everything about it looks lovely. It was assembled by one person within 30 minutes. The instructions and parts were clearly labelled and everything was extremely well packaged and had individual wrapping and protection, so no chips or dents in the bed. It also comes with spare bolts, that are actually labelled as spare, so you don't wonder why you have some left over. Also, for anyone concerned about purchasing a wood bed and worrying about how 'orange' the finish is (as can be the case some pine), this isn't at all. It's a lovely neutral toned, dark brown - perhaps a tiny bit darker than the picture, but not much and probably depends on your room and lighting. Overall, I am extremely happy with this and believe that considering the quality of the product, the ease to put together and the care taken with packaging, that this is an absolute bargain at the price. This review is to give a 5 stars to Wayfair! The bed is excellent value for the price much better than one I paid a lot more for through a certain online discount group. You get exactly what it says - but you get a lot more because of Wayfair's excellent customer service. We had trouble with one of the gas lift pistons - unbeknown to us it was faulty but caused one of the side struts to completely bend. I contacted Wayfair, they took details the customer service rep gave me his direct email and a phone contact. I emailed him pictures of what had happened and they replied confirming the new parts were ordered and would be delivered. I was skeptical but shouldn't have been. Wayfair replaced the whole side of the bed, including a new white faux leather panel which we didn't expect but had been damaged by the piston failure. It has been replaced and works perfectly. Love my new bed and it is a bargain! Came in a very narrow box which was rather alarming as couldn’t believe it could possibly contain a double bed. It was really easy to put together, but you do need a power screwdriver to affix the slats to the frame as there are no pre-drilled holes.
