I love this mixer, has made such a huge difference to my life, cooking is so much easier and I feel more motivated to do it. The mixer is perfect for my needs, as I live alone, but you would probably need something a little larger for a family. I have a very small kitchen so a smaller mixer was just what I was looking for, and this one does not disappoint. It's beautiful and stylish, easy to clean and wipe down, the attachments are very nice as well, feel good and solid. It's non slip feet are a real bonus, prevents too much movement which could otherwise lead to disaster. It's fairly noisy but that isn't really an issue for me personally. The only things I would change really (If I could) would be that speed 1 was a little slower than it is, but it's not that big an issue, and that the guard was designed slightly different as it can allow a little flour to be thrown out now and again, however, these are not hugely problematic issues...for me anyway, and the pro's outweigh the cons overall. I wanted a mixer that was not too heavy. This one meets that requirement. It works as a hand mixer and can be switched to a regular mixer with included bowl.
