Bought 2nd largest size (allows stretching out) for my 5.3kg 12 year disabled cat, after I noticed her dosing on friend’s bag instead of concrete patio. Bought for my field springer and her adult son. Up until then they were sharing a redundant pair of couch cushions with a duvet topping at night so wasn’t sure how they’d react. Left access to original bed if they wanted to really stretch out but since setting them up in new beds all evidence points to them fully embracing a more cosy (if separate) alternative. These are medium sized since I reckoned they matched up with my armchairs (which they love to lie in if chance presents itself) and fitted the available space, but a Labrador for instance would obviously need a larger size.
