it's not a true waffle, as a true waffle stays crisp looking, we had one previously and loved it so decided to get the same type, very disappointed. it's very wrinkled after it's initial wash (initial wash was absolutely needed as it did not smell nice at all). the picture makes it look like a nice waffle duvet but I've attached a pic of what it now looks like after one wash and no use!! now we've just got it on our bed and it extremely wrinkled and doesn't fit the insert properly, the backing shows all around the edge, almost as if it's shrunk - but I did a cold wash. also it's not a true white, quite a creamy white. will be replacing it shortly, very disappointed.
