LOVE LOVE LOVE! Exceptional value! There are some reviews about the chairs being unstable. However that is only the case if you don’t follow the instructions. You do need to tighten up the bolts 90, then get someone to sit on it so the chair is even before fully tightening. This is what we did and they are absolutely solid! The pleating on the seat backs was very out of line and lookes awful. Greasy marks on one of the seat pads. Very disappointing! This is by far the nicest velvet chair I’ve bought in a while. The quality, design finish make it look a lot pricier than it actually is and the chair is very comfortable. I prefer the metal finish always to be little less glossy reflective chrome-y, but this matches with my gold chrome dining table legs so I had to buy them and I’m glad I did. The only reason why I haven’t given it 5 stars is that one of the 2 chairs seems to have one leg that is significantly shorter than the others and therefore is imbalanced (see pic 2) - I’ll reshuffle them to see if it’s something I’ve done wrong but currently one of them is like sitting at a very annoying dining table at a cafe which doesn’t stop tilting from one side to another.. Ok so I promised myself this would be one review I would ensure to type up to help other people when purchasing chairs. Prior to ordering these chairs we had two different chair sets arrive from two other companies. The price range was between £700-£800 for 4 chairs. The quality was poor and nothing differentiated them from cheaper chairs. The service was particular poor from one well known company. We decided to order a cheaper set as spending nearly a thousand pounds on 4 sub standard chairs couldn’t be justified. These are a fracture of the cost! £218 for 4 and we are very pleased with them. We ordered cream and actually got cream unlike one of the companies we ordered from. Can’t fault them! There is only two of us and they will be occasionally used. I don’t think they would be suitably for heavy use on a regular basis only because the base isn’t the most robust other then that we are very very pleased.
