Excellent parasol so big and covers a 8 seater sofas , love the lights on very relaxing, it’s extremely heavy so needs two people to put into the stand, we had to buy weights for the stand we purchased Curtis plastic free standing umbrella base, otherwise it won’t hold up all the weight of the umbrella. This parasol is a good quality heavy sunshade. It tilts and it’s also possible to swing it round to follow the sun. I love it. The only issue that I have isn’t really about the parasol itself, but the advertising. I understood that there was no base with this item BUT it would be useful to indicate what base is needed. This is not really hard as it is states clearly in the instruction booklet that you need slabs that are about 35 x 50 cm. I ordered a 4 set base that can be filled that did not firm even though the link on the website linked to “bases for this parasol”. This is even more annoying when you realise that instead of paying £85 for a base, it is much easier and cheaper to get 4 paying slabs from BQ. The perfect base for this would be 2 x 450 slabs and 2 x 600 slabs. Make sure they are max 40mm thick or they won’t fit under the cross in the centre. Don’t spend a fortune on a base.. Kate. Everything was great. Delivery before time, setup really easy (had this up in 10 minutes). One thing I’d say is that you’ll need either something really heavy to hold this down or you’ll need to drill into your garden paving because the base won’t keep it balanced. . Natalia.
