Both unit and basin had suffered damage during transport, so Wayfair is replacing at no cost to me. The outer packaging for the basin (see pic) had no ‘FRAGILE’ marking (but bizarrely, the packaging inside did ). The cabinet looks nice. It's solid wood but be aware that the back and shelves are made of small pieces of wood (presumably dowelled and glued together) It's not yet fitted so I don't know what it will look like in situ. It arrived ahead of the original delivery date given when ordering and earlier than the time slot given by the delivery company. I got the delivery email from Wayfair in the early hours of the morning of the day of delivery so that might be awkward for some people who work. There was a long, fine, straight scratch on the top of the cabinet but there was so much broken polystyrene that it would have been just about impossible to repackage it for return. It's on the side which will be next to the back wall so I'm hoping it won't be noticeable. Once assembled, the top of the basin will be higher than a pedestal basin. I didn't check this beforehand but would suggest that others do so if height is important. There are no gaps inside the cabinet for water and waste pipes to come in/go out, so these will have to be made. Similarly there are no holes in the top for the tap and waste so I'm hoping that my plumber is adept at woodwork. It would have been useful if a gap in the back corner of the shelves had been left for the pipework. and the appropriate holes made in the top.. Susan. Doncaster, GB. 2024-02-04 16:31:30
