These plates turned out to be better than I’d expected. Made from very sturdy stoneware they are no lightweights, and will stand up to everyday use comfortably. I must say I hadn’t expected 4 slightly different shades of speckled blue, ranging from dark blue to almost chalk white. It was a pleasant surprise as I’d expected them all to be the same colour! The raised lip is especially good for runny dishes, as it keeps sauces and gravies firmly on the plate. All are of a decent size and have a nice smooth glaze. Very pleased!!. Pamela. One of the plates had a blemish and a scrape in the glaze. I kept the set because the rest of the plates are really nice and I can just use the blemished one as spare. I have no doubt that Wayfair would have changed the whole set if I wanted but I’m happy with it. I would definitely recommend the plates, these manufacturing faults are very rare.
